Your companyââ¬â¢s widget, WooWoo, is less expensive and more readily available than the nationally known brand. Presently, the sales are high; however, there are many defects, which increase your costs and delays delivery. Your company has fifty (50) employees in the following departments: sales, assembly, technology, and administration. The motivation of the team lays heavily on the leadership of the company.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬Å"High employee turnover sometimes has a detrimental effect on motivation. The employees who leave may be looking for other jobs because they are unhappy with their current working conditions, causing workers who stay to wonder if they would be better off doing the same. Even if employees leave a job for personal reasons, if their co-workers have truly enjoyed working with th em, it may be difficult for them to continue doing their jobs without their accustomed support system. In addition, getting used to new co-workers who are inexperienced can hurt employee motivation by increasing the workload of established staff.â⬠(Gartenstein, 2013) Lower turnover can increase employee motivation by building solid relationships and create synergies that reinforce the talents of the team. This in turn, helps keep the team enthusiastic and productive, creating stability within the company culture. A solid stable company culture motivates employees to come to work and gives the employees the job satisfaction and the belief that their company is a great place to work and where they want to be. Managers in this case, need to create a working environment that encourages stability in the companyââ¬â¢s culture which will reinforce the retention of the team. Creating a workplace atmosphere that heightens employee motivation. Increasing productivity and high qual ity while keeping costs down is another factor in this case.Show MoreRelatedteamwork and motivation Essay1313 Words à |à 6 Pagesï » ¿ Teamwork and Motivation Vanita Johnson BUS 520 Dr. Kimberly Millier July 19, 2013 Assignment 3: Teamwork and Motivation Due Week 7 and worth 200 points Imagine that you are the owner of a small manufacturing company. Softball Batting Made Easy - 1465 Words
When I hear the song ââ¬Å"Take Me Out To The Ball Gameâ⬠I immediately think of softball, and when I think of softball, I think of the amazing feeling I have when I step up to the batterââ¬â¢s box. If you donââ¬â¢t know what softball is, it is the feminine form of baseball with similar rules as well as many modifications to make it easier for women and young girls to play. I remember my first high school game. My whole family was there and all of my closest friends. I was batting fifth and there was no one on base. If you are not familiar with neither baseball nor softball, if you donââ¬â¢t get out you are then on one of four bases where you must reach each base before you score. So in other words, you start by batting then going to first, second, third, and finally home base. I was so nervous about the fact that I already had two strikes and this next pitch could be it; I could be out. In softball as well baseball you get three strikes and if you fail to hit the ball you are out. As the ball was coming toward me, I swung all the way through and when I hit it, the ball sliced between a defensive players glove. I had my first single ever! Everyone should experience getting their first hit whether it is on an actual softball team, or just a couple of people playing around at a park. It is both fun and easy to bat if you just apply the correct methods. Like with most sports, some equipment is required. You must have a softball, a bat, a batting helmet, and a home base, which isShow MoreRelatedHow to Learn the Game of Softball951 Words à |à 4 PagesHow to Learn the Game of Softball Softball is a team sport that closely resembles baseball. Sir. Baldric and The Evil Threshmit Essay It was a frigid night at Rockland Palace. The wind blew hard, andhowled out of the night, as the rain beat down on Sir. Morgan as he stoodoutside the castle walls. He had just returned with the news from King Crenshaw. Suddenly from the dark of the night came Threshmite, the great enemy of man. The description of the beast given by the churl , who stood witness to SirMorgans dismemberment, was that of a giant, man eating firs snorting, threeheaded savage warthog gargoyle. As the lightening flashed, and the thunderclapped, the it reared its center head up, and gave a fell glare into theeyes of the helpless peasant, who was frozen in a horrified Position. It took nearly five hours, and the help of the resident magician to getthat out of him. He is as skittish as a hind , afraid to venture out of thecastle walls, or even let down the drawbridge, for fear of becoming Threashmisnext meal. King Lenson grieved deeply over his departed friend. He then askedfor volunteers to hunt down the scatheful beast. The reaction to his requestwas pathetic, not a man stood. It seemed as though King Lensons valiantknights were nothing more than a flock of recreants. At last Sir. Baldricstepped forward, he had risen to the occasion, proving true to his troth. Hewas truly a stalwart knight. Early the next morning Baldric awakened, in preparation for hisendeavor. He dressed himself with care, methodically arranging his raiment. Ashe pulled his hauberk over his head, and sweeping shoulders the lady of thecastle mad her way gently into the room. She helped him finish dressing, andwhen he went to leave the room she made a tryst between herself and SirBaldric. They would meet in the church before he left. She softly kissed hischeek, and departed. He went to the arms room, and took down his sword fromits place on the wall. It shone bright in the morning bask. All the way braving the wolves, trolls, bears, and all of the other savage creatures across the countryside. Alas inmid January he came across some fewments, (Droppings of the beast pursued),and knew he was near Treshmit. He began to set up camp, and while doing this hebegan to think about home. He thought how he missed his warm feather bed, themerry evensongs he sang around the fire with his friends, and most of all hemissed Lady Lenson. He was tired of stetting up camp every night in a new place, building the palisade, and waking with the sun covered with hoarfrost. He wasnearing the end of his journey, an would be home soon, but for now he must rest. He slept lightly, and awoke early, broke down camp, and headed out. He then took the haft of his dagger and rippedopen the leathery skin of the beasts throat, sending a bath of blood throughthe cave. He had fell Threshmit, and completed his mission, never sunderingfrom the task at hand.
